The project located in Prabhadevi, was the winning entry of a competition promoted by the Reserve Bank of India to encourage research in the field of finance.

Following are its salient features:
- Natural cross ventilation encouraged in the atrium through westerly sea breeze via swimming pool & courtyard.
- Independent structural spans for Multi Purpose Hall and entire Academic wing.
- Massive wall of MPH used as a 'RBI evolution wall' to depict RBI's history.
- Distinct separate entry / exit points between CAFRAL and visiting Residents.
- Access to all - Able and Disable.
- Harnessing wind and solar energy through wind mill / photovoltaic panel / inverters etc.
